Our Story

Making Miracles Nursery Chandlers Ford was opened in 2006 by Mrs Jane Ogden. Having brought up four children of her own and with 17 years’ experience working in childcare Jane’s aim was to provide a nursery for local children that felt like home from home. Ofsted stated in their latest report that “children feel safe in this secure, yet homely nursery”. Following on from the great success of the Nursery in Chandlers Ford, in September 2010 Jane proudly opened up Making Miracles Hursley. This was a greater endeavour as it not only included a day nursery, but also a preschool, breakfast, after school and holiday club, Ofsted have stated that this fabulous new setting has established high quality provision and has a team of attentive staff that work well for the benefit of the children.

Jane’s third adventure was opening up Making Miracles on Bournemouth Road, Chandlers Ford on the 2nd January 2013. At our Chandlers Ford settings, babies and young children attend Bournemouth Road and once they reach pre-school age they then move on to pre-school at Shaftesbury Avenue. At Shaftesbury Avenue we are much more pre-school led and this helps to provide a smooth transition to school and aid the children’s social learning and key skills for that move.

Making Miracles practitioners are supported and encouraged to take up training opportunities in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We have practitioners fully trained in Makaton Sign Language, Music within the EYFS, Play with a Purpose, Health and Safety, Food Safety and we are very pleased to be a setting where every member of the team is fully qualified in paediatric first aid.

At Making Miracles we believe in the importance of working closely with parents and families to provide care that will complement the care and routine they follow at home.

Every child is assigned a key person to help give the child a secure attachment and someone to bond with at nursery. Your child’s key person will always be on hand to discuss your child’s progress and answer any concerns you may have.
